September 2026 Newsletter

We love, serve, and gather in Christ.

Pastor’s Corner

Friends:

As we launch this new era in our church, may it be based on LOVE! HAPPY SEPTEMBER AND NEW MINISTRY!

Over the last four weeks, I reflected on LOVE. 

Legacy - how shall we be known? 

Opportunities are all around us, what's our call?? 

Victory in Jesus! A freed soul is active and moving! 

Encourage! "Let us Encourage one another.

We will uplift our brothers and sisters no matter race, creed, or color! Jesus taught us in the Gospel of John 13: "A new command I give you, let us love one another..." Just as YOU have done for 80 years, we shall carry on in the love of God!

Thank God, Pastor Doug

Wednesday Night Zoom

Wednesday night zoom, 7pm Bible study meditates on and studies the Bible stories for the coming Sunday. Personally, I find there is no other way to better prepare for Sunday than to read over, study, discuss the Bible lessons that will be read and preached on this week. Just imagine as you hear the lector you are drawn in more deeply to the Scripture. Just imagine as I proclaim the Good News you are already acquainted and knowledgeable with the story to come.

Faith Formation / Sunday Evening Zoom

Sunday night Faith Formation, 7pm on zoom, offers study in a more relaxed way in group sharing and input on whatever topic/book of the Bible or resource we are studying. All of you from both churches are welcomed and invited.

Beginning September 7th, we will be studying “Anxious for Nothing” by Max Lucado.

Harvest of Faith Festival:

We will be hosting a fall festival this year on October 11th from 1-4 pm. There will be free food, activities, and prizes open to the public. We hope everyone can come out and enjoy! We will be putting out a volunteer list shortly after Labor Day. Anyone who is interested, please contact Ciara.

Gods work Our hands

God's Work, Our Hands: This year we will be joining together to build the play equipment in the garden. There will also be other tasks for those who are not construction inclined. For those who plan to help with construction, there is a list of required tools for construction on the bulletin board. We are hoping to have multiple sets of the required tools so that teams can work on different sections of the playground at once.

It will also be a wonderful opportunity to add plants to the Memorial Garden, so anyone who has plants, please bring them in as well on September 13!

There will be NO service on this Sunday.

Food Pantry Blessings

Thanks be to God for all of Faith’s Food Pantry blessings!

In August, the Faith Food Pantry received two BIG blessings! 

Our first blessing was a wonderful donation from the people of St.Andrew’s for a new commercial refrigerator, which we have been desperately needing. It is in the process of being ordered. 

Ella Ingram, one of Joe and Pat’s daughters, gifted the Faith Food Pantry $1,000 toward a new refrig/freezer which was purchased and is working in the shed. It is a convertible type so we can change it to what is needed, which is fantastic! These gifts came at a perfect time to fix our refrigeration / freezer challenges. Thanks just doesn’t seem enough. These gifts will open up a lot more ways Faith’s Food Pantry can help the community.

Thanks be to God! Thankful for all,

Janice Lee
